Ninja Turtles Coloring Pages: (35 High Printable PDFs Kid Friendly)
Has your child ever stopped dead in the middle of a sidewalk, pointed at a manhole cover, and whispered “do you think they live down there?” If so, congratulations: you are officially raising a ninja turtle fan, and there’s no going back now!
There’s something wonderfully imaginative about this whole story, isn’t there? Four ordinary turtles, one mysterious green ooze, and suddenly the world has a secret team of heroes living beneath the city streets. It’s exactly the kind of idea children fall completely in love with, which is why we made these Free Printable Ninja Turtles Coloring Pages for your child(ren) or students!
While we’re here, let’s sneak in some real turtle science. Turtles are cold-blooded, which means their body temperature depends on the world around them, and that’s why you’ll spot them basking on logs in the sunshine. Some pond turtles can even absorb a bit of oxygen through their skin while resting underwater in winter. Nature is unbelievably clever! (Though we’ll admit, that’s less exciting than pizza-fueled rooftop ninjutsu.)
Every family has a favorite brother, and in ours it’s the kids’ purple hero, hands down. He’s the builder, the brain, the one who invents a solution while everyone else is shouting. If your kid loves LEGO instructions, science kits, or taking apart old flashlights, he’s their guy! And listen, if your youngest keeps calling him an energetic green frog, just smile and nod. Green, bouncy, lives near water: the confusion is honestly fair.
Here’s how to get your free printables in three quick steps:

Simple as that! Want an extra challenge? Print all four turtles and ask your child(ren) or students to color each one in a completely invented palette. Neon turtles, pastel turtles, camouflage turtles, glittery turtles. We are one hundred percent in favor of a lavender ninja with gold spots.
Craft idea too: cut a circle from gray cardstock, label it as a manhole cover, and glue your colored turtle peeking out from behind it. Instant 3D scene!

Donatello Balances On One Leg
Donnie is the brainy one, so of course he treats balance like a science experiment! One leg up, arms out, bo staff steady. Ask your child or students to try it themselves while they wait for the printer (giggles guaranteed). Fun fact: real turtles are strong swimmers but pretty wobbly on land. Grab your purple crayons and color him in!
Happy Leonardo Michelangelo Fist Bump
Nothing says teamwork like a good fist bump, right?! Leo is the leader in blue and Mikey is the goofball in orange, and this page catches them mid-celebration. It’s a sweet one for kids who are learning to cheer each other on. Print two copies so friends or siblings can color side by side and bump fists for real!
Birthday Cake Candles For Leonardo
Somebody’s turning a year older in the sewer! Leo is carrying a big cake with candles ready for a wish. Have your child count the candles out loud, then add their own age in extra ones with a marker. Sneaky math practice, shh! Tip: leave the flames yellow and orange so they glow against Leo’s blue mask. Happy birthday, Leo!
Leonardo Races A Tiny Go-Kart
Zoom zoom! Leo squeezed into a teeny go-kart and he is absolutely flooring it. Kids love drawing speed lines, so show them how a few quick streaks behind the wheels make it look super fast. Ask your little racer what color their dream kart would be. Neon green? Rainbow stripes? Totally up to them. Print it and start your engines!
Quietly Meditating Leonardo Sits Cross-Legged
Here’s a calm one for the end of a busy day. Leo sits cross-legged, eyes closed, breathing slow and easy. Try this with your child or students: breathe in for four counts, out for four, then color. Ninjas really do train their minds, not just their moves. Pretty cool, right?! Soft blues and greens work beautifully on this page.
Warm Kitten Hug With Michelangelo
Aww, cue the happy sigh! Mikey scooped up his kitten buddy for the biggest, squishiest hug. This one is perfect for chatting about kindness and being gentle with pets. Let your kids pick the kitten’s fur: tabby stripes, calico patches, or one wild purple cat (we fully support that choice). Print it, color it, and hang it on the fridge!
Michelangelo Holds Giant Pizza Slice
Cowabunga, it’s pizza time! Mikey is holding a slice so huge it barely fits on the page, cheese stretching and everything. Ask your child to add their favorite toppings: pepperoni, olives, pineapple (yes, the great debate starts young). Fun bit of trivia: Mikey’s favorite food is pizza in every single version of the show. Grab your reds and yellows!
Scooter Riding Michelangelo Wears Helmet
Mikey’s on his scooter and yep, helmet buckled up tight! We love a page that sneaks in a safety reminder without anybody nagging. Point out the helmet and ask your kids where theirs is hiding right now. Then let them design a wild helmet pattern: flames, stars, lightning bolts, whatever they dream up. Print, color, and go for a real ride after!
Candy Cane Christmas With Michelangelo
Ho ho ho, turtle style! Mikey swapped his usual look for a floppy Santa hat and he’s clutching a candy cane bigger than his arm. Classic candy canes are red and white, but who says you can’t go blue and green? Great for December parties, quiet mornings, or homemade holiday cards. Print a stack and let the whole class color along!
Raphael Gives A Thumbs Up
Raphael usually plays the tough guy, so catching him with a big happy thumbs up feels extra special. Use this page to talk about giving compliments and hyping up your friends. Kids can write a note on the bottom and gift it to somebody who needs a boost. His mask is red, but the rest is their call. Let’s color!
Simple Pumpkin Donatello Halloween Costume
Trick or treat, turtle style! Donnie squeezed himself into a round pumpkin costume and he looks pretty pleased about it. Real pumpkins come in orange, white, green, and even blue-gray, so your kids have plenty of true-to-life options (or they can invent one). Perfect for October classroom parties. Print it, color it, and tape it in the window for spooky season!
Safe Skating Practice With Raphael
Raph is on his skateboard, knee pads on, mid-trick and loving it. Talk with your child or students about how even superheroes gear up before they roll out. Then let them add a ramp, a rail, or a little dog watching from the sidewalk. Extra drawing practice, sneaky style! Reds and greys look sharp here. Print it and drop in!
